2 reasons Valentine

can benefit your Long term Relationship

Valentine’s is around the corner. Valentines is one of those holidays one either love or hate.

I won’t deny the fact that Valentines does appear commercialised. There are so many stores showcasing their valentines products for you to spend your hard cash on, but coming to think of it, Valentine’s isn’t such as a bad, especially for your long term lovers.

Taking Valentine’s to your advantage

Re-immerse in love

There are so many reasons why a relationship can simmer down. Surely most couple will testify to the fact that their relationship isn’t the same as they first began. Reality hits and we get carried away with work, family issues, unemployment, misunderstanding and random mini fights, you name it. Honestly, it is not because you don’t feel the same way anymore, but because of other things in the way. Now, tell me, what a great way to show your partner that they still matter the most than Valentines. If your relationship seems to be shrinking a little, then putting a bit of thought and creativity might show how much time and effort you are willing to put in.

Getaways do not mean fly out of the country but if you think you and your partner might be both available to, then, by all means, take him by surprise. With Getaways, I am talking about going somewhere far yet close like another town in your city or country for a night or couple days, book a hotel and get to spend time with just the two of your or more if you are in polygamy.

In Australia, Valentines Day is usually a hot day, so planning a day with a few activities line up is also the ultimate way to spend more time intimately. Things like a picnic, a walk at the beach, and later dinner and movie night in great for closeness and intimate moment. Get you to see that smile or those eyes that made you fall in love in the first place.

Re-evaluating your goals

Valentine’s day can be the day to have yet another and in-depth conversation with your partner about where you are heading, your long term goals and plans. Sometimes when we first fell in love, we make unrealistic goals about buying a mansion by the beach in Santorini. For some, this is a possibility but for others, maybe not so much. Some of the goals might need to be adjusted or even improved for the better. The reason why Valentine is such a perfect day for this is that you both will be blameless and you both put love first that whatever struggle you are facing are willing to conquer. You also realise how hard you are ready to fight for your relationship at all times.

You can start this conversation over dinner /picnic, or you can create a cute card game with the questions you have meant to ask. Put them in a jar (like this) and let each of you pick the question and both respond.

These are only a few things you can do, there are obviously plenty of other things you can do to make your partner feel special. Do not empty your pockets for it, you can easily get some great things as a

gift, or for your quick set up from popular eBay and  Amazon which I attend to visit a lot.
